Something I have added to my routine that I think has become really important is getting enough Vitamin D. Cracking open the sunroof, walking outside with my face exposed to the sun, and making sure I step outside every once in awhile at work has been really instrumental in battling the feelings of anxiety and doubt. Because I am a child of a melanoma patient, I have already gotten sunburnt in this process so moving forward I need to make sure I am wearing sunscreen and/or limiting my exposure.
Another thing that is SUPER important is having things to look forward to in the short run and in the long run. This week, I am looking forward to my tennis lesson on Saturday morning. This month, I am looking forward to meeting my newest baby cousin. In the long run I am looking forward to my cousin's graduation from Baylor in Waco, Texas in the beginning of May (yes, I will be in the same zip code as Chip and Joanna) and of course, the completion of basic training for my boyfriend in the end of May.
As I am only 1/3 of the way through this journey, there is so much more to experience. But as always, I look forward to updating you all on how it goes! 48 days to go! We can do this!
