Wait. What?
About 6 times in conversation, people have accused me (for lack of a better term) of being a Trump supporter. True or false... It really doesn't matter. What matters is the assumption. Or the aTRUMPtion, if you will.
Just because I dislike Hillary (not open for debate or conversation... Nor will anyone explaining to me why she's great change my mind. Let's make like Frozen and let it go) doesn't automatically mean I love Trump. Just because I heard him say one smart thing one time, doesn't mean I've forgotten how idiotic he sounds and the ridiculous things he has said. Honestly. People. Just because I veer conservatively, does not mean I automatically pick the candidate that my party has chosen for me. I am my own person. Again, no amount of people convincing me I'm wrong is going to change.
This problem actually speaks to a larger issue: Why do people discuss politics, like, ever. Nobody, in the history of the Internet and the history of the art of water cooler repartee, has changed their opinion because of someone bashing their political views.
Let's all agree on one thing: politics suck. Politicians suck. And everyone should write in for my dog for president.
