Hale has been stationed at Aviano Air Base in Italy about 50 miles north of Venice for the past two years.
He left behind his bill fold, keys, and phone.
The Italian police has had search parties as well as a search dog out looking for him.
There was concerns for drowning in nearby water (translated from Italian press so it could be incorrect) That theory has been looked into and has been declared unfounded (again, translated from Italian press.)
A false alarm has been declared as a t-shirt that may have belonged to him surfaced. Thinking they had a major clue in the airman’s disappearance, the police jumped at it and brought in specialty teams including a search dog. The shirt lead them nowhere.
Hale has been missing since July 2nd according to the American press and July 4th according to Italian press.
Hale’s father has flown to Italy to aid in the search. He will be meeting with Italian officials at 8 AM tomorrow. A fund for other family members to join him has begun. You can donate by visiting www.middletownnaz.com/
