The first step was establishing my own cleaning schedule. Car, house, clothes, dogs stuff... it all gets done on Sunday's.
The next step was becoming a Trader Joe's/Mariano's/Aldi stalker with my yoga pants on and Starbucks in hand.
The final step happened today. The final step was a big leap. The final step: preparing slow cooker meals for the entire week on one day.
I'd be a liar if I didn't say today made me feel exceptionally accomplished. I'd also be a liar if I said "I don't feel like a 60-something in a 26 year old's body." But you know what?
I DON'T CARE.
Being prepared for the week feels awesome. Meals are ready. Outfits laid out. It's fantastic. The only concern I have right now is that the slow cooker meals might be horrible (this is the first time I'm trying them.) But besides that IM COMPLETELY STRESS FREE.
Ha. I HAVE ANXIETY. I'm never stress free.
But it really does feel wonderful. And I'd highly recommend this feeling to a friend.
The verdict: 4.5 stars for meal prep. Half a star off for how old it makes me feel but 4.5 stars for happiness and potential deliciousness.
