23/32 days I did just fine. What happened?
Routine.
My routine is all kinds of messed up. I wake up. I go back to sleep. I wake up again. I have breakfast. I sit on the couch. I get ready. I work. Yesterday I tried to mess with that equation, and instead of having a positive change, I messed up my 32 days of blogging in one 24 hour hot mess.
What gives?!
As a person who lives for routine and schedules, this challenge was designed for me. I'm a bit disappointed in myself. At the realization that I messed this up, I thought immediately "Well. This is over."
That's ridiculous.
So you messed up ONCE. It happens to everyone because we are all humans. Messing up once and feeling like you failed is why 99.9999% of New Years resolutions never come to fruition. Making one accidental mistake is why most Catholics quit whatever they gave up half way through Lent. Killing someone once DOES make you a murderer, but forgetting to do something once SHOULD NOT make you a life long quitter.
Yes. I did just say that.
Don't let one mistake like forgetting to blog or forgetting to workout label who you are for forever. Pick it right back up. Try again the next day. Do it until it becomes part of your routine. And when you forget, forgive yourself and try again.
