1) You start off pretty positive. You have so many of those little game pieces on your board. You are so totally going to win some of those prizes. You plan coffee dates in your head on who you will watch pay for coffee whilst you receive yours for free.
2) You begin to win duplicate pieces. Small parts of your soul die. You begin to wonder what the meaning of life is.
3) You win a bonus star. It is a small victory... but then you remember that last year they gave away free drinks instead of a measly star. A "star" is 1/12th of a drink (if you think about it.) If you are a Gold Card member it takes 12 stars to receive a free drink. You crave more stars, but your eye is still on the big prize. Must. Play. More.
4) You start to read those marketing emails from Starbucks more closely. You do the math. If there are over 1,000,000 players and 2 of them have already won "Starbucks for Life" that means there is a 3 in 999,998 chance that you can win the prize. Your dreams consist of those damn game pieces and the elusive Bell/Snow Monster/Reindeer trio.
5) You give up because nothing is worth the emotional torment this has put you through.
6) You vow to never go to Starbucks again.
7) You go to Starbucks and pay with your registered card and receive a game play. You start the process all over again.
