To everyone, America's reactions to the election results are downright embarrassing.
Regardless of whether your candidate did or did not win, you have no right to be an asshole.
Regardless of whether your candidate did or did not win, buck up and be an adult.
We are all entitled to safety. If you choose to protest, keep it peaceful. We are all entitled to our opinions. If you choose to express yours, please do so respectfully. We are all entitled to happiness. Please don't let your happiness infringe upon someone else's.
The biggest disappointment this week isn't who is or is not the president elect. The biggest disappointment lies in our social media newsfeeds, conversations between Liberal and Conservative friends, and riots. A fight has just been declared for this country. How are we going to answer that call? With due process and with dignity? Or with destruction, tears, and more division in this nation? This choice lies with each of us individually. Choose wisely. But until the winds of change start to blow across polling places, social media sites, and the news: shame on you America.
